Endroit propice au calme avec possibilité de petite promenade sur route en béton idéale pour les poussettes car il ne passe que très peu de voiture. Le château de Vervoz et son étang sont superbes et si vous ajoutez la neige alors c'est splendide.

We had a wonderful stay here! The apartment was spacious & well-equipped with everything we needed. The beds were comfortable & the water pressure in the shower was great. We especially liked the large arched windows at both ends of the apartment-one by the comfortable living room & the other by the dining/kitchen table. Both allowed lots of natural light & provided beautiful views of nature. This is a gorgeous area of Belgium-not to be missed! We explored the nearby area by bicycle & by foot. There is also ample parking for your car. There is a separate entrance to the apartment, providing privacy, but it was reassuring to know that the owners, Brigitte & Philippe, live next door, in case they are needed. We found them to be great hosts and they speak English, which was so helpful for us, as our French is very limited. We hope to return someday to this apartment in the beautiful Belgian countryside!

We brachten een fijne vakantieweek door in deze mooie, groene en kalme omgeving.
Het huis heeft interessante volumes met de nodige, comfortabele voorzieningen. Het is op een vintage wijze ingericht door de eigenares (architecte) met een typisch architecturale aanpak voor het samenbrengen van steen, hout en beton.
We hadden een fijn contact met Brigitte en Philippe en kregen interessante informatie betreffende de bezienswaardige dorpen en steden in de buurt.
De onmiddellijke omgeving is ook zeer mooi met de vijver en de geklasseerde gebouwen in dit gehucht.
Ook de ter beschikking gestelde fietsen en de pingpongtafel hebben we goed kunnen waarderen.

It is hard to explain how much we love Le Vicus in Vervoz. Brigitte and her husband are incredible and quintessential Belgian hosts! The attention to detail they gave in restoring a historic barn into a fully functional and cozy gite is incredible, and most importantly the reasonable rate they charge makes it so easy to take a family to explore such a gorgeous region of the world. Whether you are looking to kayak on rivers, explore the limestone caves, visit the historic WWII Battle of the Bulge villages, or get lost in the wonders of Durbuy and Malmedy, Le Vicus provides a cozy, secluded location that is "20-30 minutes from everything!"

Our family spent a full month in the gite and thoroughly enjoyed going horseback riding through the local rivers, hiking the local valleys and hills, exploring the history and culture of the region and using the gite as a basecamp for our travels to the Netherlands, France, Germany and Luxembourg.

The gite, as most European accommodations, is smaller in size than most Americans are used to, but has everything you need at a fraction of the cost for other gites in the area. We went to the local bakery each morning for our pastries, loaded up on groceries at the large grocery store just 18 minutes down the highway and cooked all our meals at home! The bathroom shower has great water pressure and the bedrooms allowed us to comfortably sleep our family of 6! We enjoyed the ping pong table and bikes provided by the host and were made to feel at home as they more than once shared their hospitality to make sure we not only knew about the finest local breweries, but could discover all the hidden gems that Belgium has to offer!

This is our second time staying at Le Vicus and we will no doubt be back again to enjoy the hospitality and amazing beauty of both this gite and of the entire region as a whole!
