Superbe gîte, spacieux, très bien équipé et décoré. Andrew est un hôte charmant et au petit soin. Belles attentions à notre arrivée et durant tous le séjour. Emplacement au calme, au milieu de magnifiques paysages, et à 15 min de la charmante petite ville de Eymet. Recommandé à 100 % !!!

Perfect in every way.

After a long drive from Calais you are rewarded with countless views of sunflowers and vineyards and it's no different as you enter the small village of Loubes-Bernac. The property was easily found with the clear directions sent by the courteous owners beforehand set high upon a ridge in the small hamlet of Montaillac it is set back from the road with lots of parking to the side of the property. We were met by the owner Andrew who welcomed us as if he had known us for years and showed us around his beautiful holiday home.

The Gite had everything you could wish for including excellent wi-fi. Inside there is a large double bedroom downstairs with an ensuite and two large bedrooms and family bathroom upstairs perfect for two teenage children. The kitchen and lounge were great for those nights in. Outside there were two areas we could enjoy one for dining and one for relaxing by the pool,

The owners Andrew and Teresa were the perfect hosts giving us many tips on places to eat, drink and visit.

There was so much to do locally we were spoilt for choice which is great with teenage children. We went paddleboarding and kayaking at the nearby Lac de l'Escourou and further afield at Lac de Lougratte where many a hour was lost spent paddling around. Eymet was a great for all your needs including groceries and plenty of eateries.

The Sunday market in Soumensac is a foodie heaven and is where you will find Andrew religiously every week! After many visits to night markets, the beautiful city of Bergerac and endless afternoons by the pool it was time to say goodbye. Would we be back, yes for sure, would we recommend, without a doubt for it was perfect in every way. Thank you 😊

An incredible place to stay. It is a perfect spot to relax in and experience life in the beautiful French countryside, using it as a base to to visit local markets, hamlets and rustic towns.
Andrew was the perfect host. He had a list of local recommendations awaiting us which really helped us experience and explore all of the local gems, all within a short driving distance from the house. The accomodation itself is definitely special, a converted barn where the original wooden feeding trough provides the divide between the kitchen and living area.
The place was spotless, immaculately clean and had all new modern kitchen conveniences. Wine, bread and cheese awaited us which were lovely hospitable touches. The place was tastefully styled, embracing the old classic style with some modern touches. It was lovely and spacious with wonderful big comfortable couches and a large TV (with satellite channels and Netflix!) if you feel like unwinding after a days sightseeing. There was a small pool outside (another delightful addition!), bbq area and loungers in the garden....all guaranteed to ensure the stay was relaxing and comfortable. We felt so lucky to have found this place and be able to spend a few days here. It is one of those rare, special finds. A heartfelt thanks, Andrew and Teresa.

We verbleven in de gîte van Teresa en Andrew en het was in één woord fantastisch. Met drie slaapkamers, twee badkamers, nog een apart toilet, een ruim opgezette woonkamer en dito keuken, was er genoeg ruimte voor iedereen en ook de hond had buiten genoeg ruimte om te rennen en spelen. Het contact via WhatsApp en mail was uiterst aangenaam en ook de ontvangst liet niets te wensen over. Ze geven je alle vrijheid, maar mocht je hun aandacht ergens voor nodig hebben, staan ze gelijk voor je klaar. De omgeving is rustig, maar op enkele minuten rijden vind je de bakker en iets verder leuke dorpjes zoals Eymet. In de buurt uiteraard ook mooie golfbanen en wijngaarden waar je de heerlijkste wijnen kan proeven. Deze accommodatie is echt een aanrader voor iedereen die rust en ruimte zoekt, maar niet te ver weg wil zijn van de mogelijkheden om activiteiten te ondernemen. Wij komen volgend jaar zeker terug in de regio en zullen uiteraard deze gîte met liefde weer bezoeken.

5 stars all the way here. So much we can say about this stunning Gite in a prime location for relaxation, country side, vineyards, beautiful Eymet town and wonderful friendly hosts. What was great for us is the options available to us depending on what we fancied doing in any particular day. We could relax by the pool to cool down or we could go out and about to experience the beautiful rural countryside and nearby towns and vineyards. The Gite was clean, tastefully furnished and had king sized bed too, all very comfortable. Absolute loved staying here and we will be back.
