This is by far the worst post office location. Staff is rude, and after standing in line for 20 minutes with a line behind me to the stairs one of the ladies working the window took a family member who had just walked in ahead of me. I was not pleased and told her to look out the door and see the line behind me. She was rude and couldn't have cared less. I would rather drive across town, out of my way than dealing with someone like that

Misdelivered my package , won't tell me where they delivered it. Called me at the END of the day so nothing could be done. And told me to file a claim. The items lost were unreplacable. Use UPS instead. At least they take photo evidence of where they drop off the package. Don't waste your time or money w/ USPS. I'm filing a claim since they want to gift out my christmas gifts to STRANGERS! I EXPECT my claim to be fulfilled! Use UPS instead !!!

I have a lot of issues with this post office, but being that is the main hub are all the post offices in the town. It is my only option. I come here daily for business. They have one guy at the window who also handles passports these passport appointments take from what I’ve seen 35 to 40 minutes. Meaning the people who are there to use the mailing service are waiting 30 to 40 minutes in line. What’s so messed up about this is the manager walks out asked if he can take anything for drop off that is pre-labeled, daily , but refuses to hop on a register to help the line of people trying to ship. If they aren’t going to hire a different person to do passports, the manager should at least pick up the slack in the lobby especially while the one and only rep is busy doing a passport service. It’s extremely frustrating sitting in line every day for 30 to 40 minutes. And every day I hear all the other customers waiting in line for extended periods of times very frustrated as well. I really hope they figure out the situation soon as I waste about 45 minutes of my workday standing in line! Hi, your help or the manager should step up simple

The place is extremely slow. They barely have any employees every time I’m in there it’s like standing in line at the DMV because they are taking passport appointment at the regular postal window. Meaning you’re waiting in line for somebody to be coached on how to fill out their paperwork and submit it which takes a very long time. The manager is no help at all, and I’ve seen him many of times, just looking at worked who are Overwhelmed. The line is always out the door and be prepared to be waiting for 20 minutes at least on a normal day. They need to open more windows or figure out a different way to process passports. As a business owner or regular person, I shouldn’t have to wait in line 20 to 40 minutes daily just to mail my items that are pre-stamped. They really need better solutions. Also stafff has very very poor hygiene. You can smell him through the window it’s very disgusting and nauseating, watching the dandruff, fly all around him ON TOP of the smell and dirty work uniform. Oh, and as I’m currently standing in line right now, there’s about 10 people behind me and I’ve already been here for 12 minutes

The customer service rep Jomaris was very helpful over the phone. She called me regarding a claim that I had put in through the post office. She then stated when something changed in the system she would call be back to follow up. She definitely called back 2 days later. Jomaris went the extra mile in helping me. She was very pleasant over the phone. She definitely should be recognized for her hard work and dedication to the team! I thank her for following up and assuring my package was delivered! 🙂

Chronically understaffed. I've never had any problems with the individual employees, but I've literally waited for 25 minutes for someone, anyone, to come to the window. I highly recommend finding a different post office.

I had an appointment with the passport service at USPS on Grand St for12:45 this afternoon, because the US FBI website said I could have my electronic fingerprints taken there for a background check. So I get there at 12:30 and go the the passport office, which is locked with a sign telling me to check in at the retail window. Well it’s lunch time so there is a line of 12 people. There is only one agent working so the line takes over 15 minutes for me to get to the front, just as a second window opens. When I say that I am there for fingerprinting,I am told that their electronic fingerprinting machine has been broken for months and they don’t expect it to be working for many more months. They say that the USPS website really needs to take Waterbury off it’s list for E-fingerprinting. I am told I need to go to New Have for this service! I wasted two hours today going somewhere that shouldn’t be on a list. The fact that the MAIN post office in Waterbury has only one window worker at lunch time is ludicrous, let alone the inability to obtain a service that is advertised. No wonder they are always going broke!
