Our chalet hosts, Josh & Elle were fantastic. Our family stayed in Chalet Florence in La Plagne 1800 and had a truly great time. Josh & Elle were very friendly and professional and they made the holiday not just a very good one, but a very special one too. They were especially good with our 9 and 12 year old children, when it came to making them feel welcome and providing for them at meal times. We all had an amazing time and Josh and Elle were a big part of making that happen.||||All of the food was of a very high standard. The three course meal each evening was especially wonderful. I do not understand some previous comments about it being cramped round the dinner table when all 20 are sat at it. There was ample room as the table was enormous and the chalet itself can easily accommodate 20 people.||||The communal lounge area is truly beautiful. The chalet inside is all light wood and high wooden chunky beams, with a big balcony and a picture window that gives you a stunning view of the mountains. The location is very good, being only a 5 minute walk from the ski lift and meeting point for the ESF ski school. The ski hire shop is opposite the chalet or just a 3 minute walk, depending on the one you use.||||Overall this was a great chalet and Ski Beat made it a lovely holiday.

Myself and the girlfriend just returned from a week in La Plagne 1800. We stayed at chalet Florence. Our hosts were Josh and Elle, but Tim also helped out throughout the week! All hosts were just fantastic. The food was amazing. We ate like queens throughout the week and all hosts were just so helpful and friendly. The chalet was well located. It was only about 100 meters from the bus stop in and out of La Plagne Centre which was free and a little longer walk to the slopes at 1800.||It’s a big chalet and we were lucky with the groups that booked in the same week as us. If I was to make any suggestions I would say maybe change one of the small bedrooms to a sauna because it would add that extra bit of luxury to the chalet but also reduce the amount of people at the dinner table coz it is fairly tight with everyone dinning. I’ve no doubt each bedroom brings in great revenue but since it’s a big chalet as it is, it would really benefit from it.||So I would highly recommend chalet Florence, it was overall a wonderful experience and Josh, Elle and Tim really made our ski holiday for us!!!

My wife & I have just returned from a fantastic week in Chalet Florence at Plagne 1800 which is one of Ski Beat's largest chalets in Plagne 1800 sleeping 19 when full. There were 14 guests during visit & this proved to be a great number. Chalet Hosts Steve & Becky are seasoned & very experienced in their field, this really tells as they made our stay exceptional in every aspect, welcoming, fantastic food quality, going beyond what's expected. I really couldn't them praIse them enough. Chalet Florence is modern, contemporary very airy in design with a massive communal space allowing exceptional light from the huge windows revealing fantastic views. There's a very modern log burner & even a home theatre. There's boot warmers & a ski locker (limited space). The bedrooms are simply furnished with really nice ensuite shower rooms, all very tasteful. A couple of room have separate bathrooms & one has a combined bath/whirlpool. Our room (no. 2) could have done with a couple more hooks to hang sallopettes & rucksacks etc. There's endless hot water which is a major bonus. There are two ways to get to the slopes from the chalet both via an optimistic 300 meters! Both involve a walk up a slight incline. This sounds worse than it is but in reality it's not bad, treat it like a warm up exercise. There are two chair lifts to quickly whisk you into the greater Paradiski area. There's also an ESF schoo in 1800. For entertainment there's numerous bars & restaurants to be enjoyed. We especially liked Bar La Mine which has a daily happy hour from 1600-1830hrs. Opposite Chalet Florence there is the best pizza restaurant in 1800 La Canteen highly recommended for Wednesday Chalet staffers night off. There's also a Spar, Skimuim ski rental as well as Intersport ski rental, just down the road there's Sport 2000 ski rental who we used & provide a very friendly expert service providing great quality equipment. Sport 2000 is opposite the Bobsleigh bar if you fancy a quickly ! Get your ski pass locally & if you're part of a group you'll attract a discount. This is cheaper than getting them before you arrive in resort. Jan 2017 Full Paradiski €299 , Local La Plagne pass which still allows you one trip to Les Arcs is €256. Unless you're really going to beast the piste the local pass is more than adequate. Would I use Ski Beat again heck yes, would I stay in Chalet Florence again, without a doubt! My favourite ski holiday so far (in 20years). I hope this review has helped?

This is a very good chalet for lounge/dining and kitchen facilities. The bedrooms are basic but at a level above the minuscule boxes found in some French chalets. Good wardrobes but room 4 was short of drying/hanging space for ski gear. Very good wet room shower and toilet but a short on shelf space for toiletries. The beds were thin mattresses on sprung wooden lath base which were just about tolerable for a week. Excellent boot dryer/warmer at the entrance but insufficient space for 19 sets of skis.||Located about 120m from the main road (Drop-off point for the transfer coach and the inter resort bus), 90m from Intersport and the Spar shops next door. La Cantine (bar and restaurant) diagonally opposite but heard very little noise. ||The only downside for skiing is the location. A steep 100m uphill and then 300m downhill to the Mélèzes lift but it seems a lot further coming back in the evening. The real killer is the perverted logic that a bus is provided for the 300m downhill bit but not for the return -it goes further down the valley!?! ||The staff can make or break a chalet and Suzy and Andy really made this particular week. Thank you very much. ||

Chalet Florence is a modern, but traditionally styled chalet with great views from the lounge/dinning area, definitely one to consider if staying in Plagne 1800.||||The chalet is positioned on the side of the mountain and covers three floors, the ground floor and lower ground floor having the guest rooms and the upper floor the lounge and dining areas, kitchen and above the kitchen a small TV room/snug.||||The chalet looks fairly recent with the guest rooms all combining a mix of traditional and contemporary styling. The rooms we saw were not large, but neither were they that small, almost all had ensuite and all had a good amount of storage and hanging space. The open-plan upper floor has superb views across to Aime 2000 and down the valley; there is a large sitting area with log burner and a good sized dining area and kitchen. The chalet has a boot drier in the entrance lobby and a ski storage cupboard next to the front door.||||The chalet is located opposite the ‘commercial’ centre in Plagne 1800 (essentially the Spar, tabac and InterSport ski hire shop) and the Pierre & Vanances Plagne Lauze appartments. It is a walkable 5 to 6 mins to the Melezes lift, which takes you up to the eastern side of Plagne Centre or a slightly longer walk to the 1800 lift that takes you up to Aime 2000, the ski bus stop is a couple of minutes walk away (between the chalet and the Melezes lift).||||When we visited during the 2015/16 ski season Chalet Florence was being run by UK ski chalet company SkiBeat and hosted by Andy and Claire who did a great job; good food, good company, lots of local info and assistance when needed.
