Nous avons passé une semaine dans un des 2 gîtes du domaine. Nous étions avec un couple d'amis et leurs 3 enfants qui, eux, louaient un emplacement de camping. Nos vacances ont été magiques. Les installations (sanitaires, piscine, terrasses, ...) étaient ultra propres et les propriétaires d'une gentillesse inouïe. Le gîte est équipé à la perfection. Tout est sur place, de la vaisselle au linge de lit et de bain. Vraiment, tout était parfait !

Nous avons loué le gite "SUNFLOWER" pour une nuit||Les propriétaires (helen et ian) sont très accueillants , chaleureux, souriants et disponibles||Le gite est très propre avec tout le nécéssaire a l 'intérieur et une térasse extérieure||Les jardins et extérieurs très fleuris et propres..||Gite a recommander très vivement sans modération||Un véritable havre de paix , un petit coin de paradis..bref que du bonheur

Having stayed here several times before in our caravan, under the previous owner and now the new owner, I can say wholeheartedly, if you're looking for a truly relaxing environment to take a break, you'll get it here. The site and facilities are excellent and very well maintained and now, with a French host, we have found their help invaluable when encountering issues. Much to my embarrassment my French is only passable whilst Christine's English is excellent. As a consequence things that were once a little difficult to understand now, with her help, no longer are.||The Gites are great, some members of my family have stayed here over the years, and everything is catered for. ||The area is primarily used for arable farming so there are miles and miles of walks on flat easy terrain. Great for us as we have two dogs. ||Within easy driving distance there is canoeing in Ruffec, the village of Oradour-sur-Glane for those with an interest in WW2 (take tissues, it's very emotional), La Valee Des Signes if you like monkies, a water slide park in Vivonne and Futuroscope for the younger family member (or older I guess).||Be warned though, if you're over in the height of Summer, have a swimsuit and budgies ready and make sure you've got sun cream...it can get very hot.||Plenty of Supermarkets are within easy reach and there's a charming bar tabac in Rom, which is about 4 kilometres away, which also has a small shop attached.||It's a great location for a stop-off if travelling further South as the N10 is around 5 minutes away.||If you're reading this, give this site a go. You will not regret it.

What a place, we loved it, a beautiful tranquil retreat but within easy reach of many places to visit. Ian & Helen site is exceptional with spacious pitches and two fabulous gites. The court yard is so pretty and a lot of effort is put in to keep it looking amazing while retaining its charm.||||They have two gites one is two bedroom and the other is a one bedroom which is what we stayed in, both we emasculate(as we had a nosey around the other one). There is nothing that they had not catered for and we tried to think of something but couldn’t.||||Ian & Helen are the most fantastic hosts you would ever want, friendly, Fun, thoughtful and genuine lovely people. We would highly recommend a stay here.||||Thanks

Just spent a lovely weekend staying in Hideaway gite. Everything is spotless and very comfortable. La Grande VIgne is just beautiful and with flowers and plants growing everywhere. It is all very well kept. The essentials in food and drink are provided when you arrive. It's such a lovely relaxing place to stay. Helen and Ian are perfect hosts. Nothing is too much trouble for them. We have stayed many times before and will be returning as soon as we can. Thank you H & I! xx

Me and my fiance were travelling back through France, to our home and stayed at this beautiful place on the way. What an unexpected surprise. We drove through a vast amount of sunflower fields in beautiful French countryside to find this stunning location to stay. We were greeted by the bubbly Helen, who could of not made us feel more welcome. We were wet from the rain and tired after travelling all day. We were greeted with lots of love and shown into a lovely cottage. The Sunflower cottage was amazing and perfect in every way. Lovely and spacious with a big living room, kitchen, bedroom and equipped with everything you could wish for, plus a few extras. Also very clean. Ian, Helen's husband, was taking guests to the airport when we arrived. But on his return after a long day, was just as welcoming and lovely as Helen. I must say the place Ian and Helen have built is beautiful. Very well kept and as you walk through you are surrounded by very well kept gardens and fruit trees. It is hard not to feel relaxed. Also they make their own jam from the fruit grown on their land. Very nice touch. Thank you for the hospitality. You must stay here

WOW! We've been coming to this site regularly since 2015. Over the last few years it has changed significantly. A charming new owner who speaks several languages (including fantastic english which comes in very helpful I can assure you). The camping field has enormous pitches and excellent facilities including a shower room, laundry, freezer, swimming pool and boule court. You can even hire a sauna in the spa!

As dog owners the walking is fantastic: you can walk for miles and meet nobody. The area is incredibly quiet and the skies are breathtaking on a clear night.

The site is near to several large towns which have supermarkets, boulangeries and all the usual shops bars and cafés.

There is also caravan storage available, a service we are using, at very reasonable cost.

Within a short distance there are several places of interest: the village of Rom which is the custodian of war graves from WW2 and for those with an
interest in WW2, St Souvant and Oradour are both within an hours drive. Also easily accessible are futurascope, monkey valley and the town of Ruffec (for canoeing).

The location makes this site perfect for a relaxing break or as a stop off on the way further south.

I could go on but will close by saying that I am so pleased we came across this site. We have used it regularly and will continue to do so. Try it: you will not be disappointed!

5 star +++++ and then there's not enough pluses!!!!|If you want a fast paced campsite then this place is not for you. |If you want peace and tranquillity then this is most definitely the place to be!|The English hosts, Helen & Ian, are the most friendliest, warmest & most genuine couple we have ever met 💝 We felt we had known them years by the time we had left. I can honestly see why they have so many regular people coming to stay time & time again|The camp site is small. Which is Fab. Has 6 electric pitches. There is one huge shower room with plenty of hot water and has an heater if needed to warm the room. It was spotless. Next to the shower room, there is a separate toilet and a washing up area. There is a large fridge if you need to keep something cool, ideal for your wines! There is a household size washer and a dryer which uses tokens. |Outside, there is an area for sunbathing, there is a little bar area with seating. The above ground pool had only just closed before we arrived. This was a decent sized pool. |Helen & Ian also have 2 fabulous looking gites. Both were beautiful done up and oozed character. We had a motorhome so didn't stop in these but another couple were and they loved them so much, it was their fourth time staying in them!|It's within reach of Limoges and Poitiers airports. There is a supermarket in the next town. |We left feeling refreshed but with heavy hearts. This is THE best site we've stayed at and we have been touring since March. We cannot rate the site and Helen & Ian highly enough. We will visit again and strongly recommend you do too!
