Just returned from Chalet Nicole, last Sunday, having stayed there with a group of 13 others guys, we were spoilt by Lorraine and her husband from the moment we arrived... They were very attentive, great cooks and great company. From superb canapés, Afternoon cakes to die for. And 4 course evening meals that we superb. Chalet kept very clean.||Without question, the best chalet hosts i have ever had the pleasure of meeting, based on over 10 catered chalet trips, a true compliment.||||The location is great, ski to door with a little run up. Easy walk to village.||Chalet a bit tired like most, but beds were comfortable, plenty of hot water for showers, hot tub and sauna great after a hard day on the slopes.....

We stayed with Family Friendly Skiing at Chalet Nicole in later March 2017. The chalet is sold as a ski-in/ski-out location but, in truth, this is probably only the case in peak season when the Red Morreta Blanche piste has a decent covering of snow. ||||It was exceptionally warm when we there in late March and the bottom section of the piste was extremely patchy (in fact the piste was in closed). If you were prepared to nip under the fence it was just about skiable provided you’re able to navigate your way around the brown bits. Most people however opted to ski down Folyeres (Blue) into La Tania and walk back up to the chalet. There’s also a green run down to La Tania but like the red, this gets very wet and patchy in the late season, particularly if the weather is very warm. ||||The walk back to the chalet is probably only 5-10 mins and not particularly steep. Simply hop in the public lift at the bottom of the Grand Bois apartments in La Tania village and once you reach the top, walk to the end of the apartment block and the around the road and up the last bit around the corner to the chalet. ||||The chalet itself is spacious and comfortable. Although it could do with a little TLC in places, it’s certainly not unpleasant. Food and wine was plentiful and well prepared despite the limited kitchen facilities. The kitchen itself is an area of the chalet which does require improvement - something which I’m sure would make it easier for the chalet staff to operate.||||The bedrooms were pretty much what you’d expect in a budget chalet – small but adequate. Our room had a bath and shower and there was always plenty of hot water. There’s a hot-tub and sauna but I didn’t make use of them. A good sized boot room with boot dryers is easily accessible from the ground floor entrance to the chalet. ||||The Family Friendly team including Nic, Kay and David were always helpful and enthusiastic. Our holiday included a transfer from and back to Geneva airport which was fast and efficient. ||||All-in-all, an excellent choice for families on a budget I would suggest.
