Un endroit magique où le temps suspend son vol. Une très jolie parenthèse que l'on ne voudrait pas refermer. La quiètude d'un cocon. Le personnel est charmant et à l'écoute, notre chambre enchanteresse, la table mérite des étoiles. Nous reviendrons très bientôt.

Moments magiques coupés du monde dans le calme de cette immense propriété. Il y a de quoi passer du temps sans s ennuyer, entre cet immense parc, ses hectares de terrains de ballades, la piscine, la salle de sport, de yoga et l étang pour ceux qui veulent pêcher ou faire de la barque. En ce qui concerne l habitation, tout à été pensé et conçu pour ne rien n avoir à amener. Vraiment très bel endroit.

Chateau was musty and moldy, bedroom was dusty, bedroom linens were scratchy, bed pillows were old and partially filled with broken foam, bath towels were the quality of a high school gym. We were given an old foam-filled twin-sized comforter for a bed advertised as a king and was a queen. The pool was advertised as heated, and it was not heated. Michael Salmon's luxury-priced Foodie Tour has chosen this location for years. It was a disappointment to us, and we felt duped by Mary Jo Brink's false advertising of a luxury vacation.

I’ve stayed several times over the years and every time I stay it gets better and better. The interior design is stunning and the new bathrooms & huge new kitchen are first class. I love relaxing by the pool and using the gym especially when Katy the yoga teacher visits. The Forge Du Roy is a tranquil paradise tucked away surrounded by beautiful gardens and woodlands. You really have to visit and you will see for yourself what I’m trying to convey. I forgot to mention, great hosts and a fab chef is at hand should you wish to really chill.

We had our marriage ceremony at Chateau Forge Du Roy during August and couldn’t have wished for a better location. The hosts were incredibly informative, relaxed and welcoming. All of our guests are raving about how fantastic the venue was - we had speeches on the pontoon, dancing in the pergola, and the ceremony itself down the beautiful stone steps in front of the Chateau.

The Chateau and Barn (not at all like a barn and more of a mini Chateau) is finished to a very high standard and extremely clean. This was really important for us. Many venues look better in photos but this absolutely surpassed our expectations (and we’ve stayed in other Chateaus in Bergerac so have a comparison). The spaces are well equipped and thoughtfully designed - fridge, changing room and toilet at the pool, BBQ and fire pit in the pergola, rowing boat tethered to the pontoon. Plenty of kitchen and dining equipment too.

I’m really surprised to see the negative comments here as the hosts could not have been better. They took care of the pool each morning, answered my phone calls right away and attended to any question or request we had.

Just finished our week stay at Chateau Forge du Roy after celebrating our wedding there.

The facilities at the Forge are fantastic and the hosts, Jen and Paul, are always close by if anything is needed on the property or to give advice on places to go in the area.

Some recent negative reviews on the property I can’t relate to. As long as you are respectful of the property and treat it as you would do your own home, you will be left to celebrate and enjoy the place as you please.

I’d recommend staying at the Forge, especially for a big group of friends looking to relax in amazing environment. We will definitely be back to celebrate our anniversary.
