Holiday Inn Denver East, an IHG Hotel - Denver, Colorado

Après près de 4 semaines aux États-Unis entre Las Vegas et Denver en passant par des zones très variées et plus ou moins touristiques, le jugement est sans appel: cet hôtel à la palme de la plus grosse déception. Les photos publiées sur le site sont sans rapport avec le coté fortement décrépit des chambres (taches sur la moquette, fenêtre et portes en mauvais état) et des locaux en général (tables et chaises de la réception écaillées, moquette sale et défraichies sur l'ensemble du bâtiment. Nous avons choisi cet hôtel en partie sur la base de la belle photo de piscine qui s'avère être une catastrophe avec du mobilier sale et détruit qui devrait avoir été jeté depuis longtemps (voir photos). La piscine elle-même est sle (bassin et alentours), Rien ne sauve cet hôtel, pas même la qualité de l'accueil qui est à la hauteur du reste, c'est à dire mauvais. Le tout pour un prix bien plus élevé que pour notre hébergement de Las Vegas (très apprécié), et à peine moins cher qu'à Salt Lake City (notre plus belle surprise).||Très décevant de la part de la marque Holyday Inn. A éviter absolument.

Très bon accueil dans ce bel hotel, belles chambres avec beaux balcons. Petit restaurant dans le hall, parking en sous sol accessible.

Le bâtiment est assez déprimant, du béton des années 60 peu chaleureux malgré un rdc et un bar plutôt réussis. La chambre était correcte. Gros probleme: on m'a changé la serrure durant le séjour sans me prévenir. Je n'étais pas le seul concerne puisque tout l'étage l'était. Pas un mot d'excuse... Et cerise sur le gâteau la chambre n'avait pas été faite !

Hotel was very dirty upon arriving I wiped down all surface areas as there was dust and dirty everywhere. There was a yellow stain on the wallpaper in the restroom and my tub never drained when taking a shower. This caused buildup of products and very slippery dirty tub. The entire hotel smells like sewer and the hotel staff has minimal experience in hospitality. My birthday was during my stay in which some friends decorated my hotel door late at night. A birthday card and a piñata was stolen from my door when only authorized hotel staff should have been in the hotel. When brought to attention nothing was done and there was no follow up on this. The hotel staff also fails to allow delivery drivers to the rooms of hotel persons. This being said after a long shift had fallen asleep after ordering door dash. Within an hour of heading down after the delivery hotel staff has claimed they “ thew it away” a $50 meal that hasn’t been claimed in an hour” working a long shift and then having hotel staff throw away your dinner was super disappointing.

Just a few of many unfortunate situations this holiday inn put us in this winter.

The good: I'm a fan of the old-school atrium and the dated architecture. The bathrooms appear to be recently updated, and the hotel is clean. The employees are nice, and it feels like everyone is trying. The breakfast burrito is really good and it isn't overpriced. The bad: I had a parking ticket on my car after doing my best to scan the QR code the night before and pay for parking as required. The morning hotel clerk waived the ticket quickly and pleasantly. The paid parking needs work. The hotel is close to DIA. I'd describe it as a good value. I'll be back.

Granddaddy

I love this hotel. The rooms are fun yet cozy and I love the moving desk. The bed was so comfortable I didn't want to leave it. Luckily the breakfast was amazing (too many potatoes in the breakfast burrito for me) which helped get me out of the cloud of a mattress. If I was not on a budget I would have stayed longer. Only downside is the additional parking charge coupled with my budget.

I live close to this hotel, and have never visited. I was very pleased with the room and cleanliness. Most of all, I am extremely grateful of the kindness of the staff, specifically Josh working the front desk. I was in a tight situation, and he handled my check in and made my stay so much more peaceful and welcoming than many other places would have. Thank you Josh ❤️

Great location. Shops, food and bars all close. Only about 15 minute drive to downtown.
Room was a bit small and one cover did have a stains on it. The curtains were hard to draw back too. However the room did have a good view of downtown.
