My husband and I went to the O’Hara Mill for one of our first dates and liked it so much we decided to get married there!

It’s a beautiful location with some amazing volunteers (shoutout to Doris who helped us tremendously). They do various events throughout the year which we now take our daughter to as well.

We love being able to walk the trails and reminisce on old memories there while also creating new ones with our little family. 💕

A peaceful spot for gentle hikes & exploring.
There are hiking paths towards the back that loop around.
The trees were just starting to change.

Gorgeous! Multiple paths to explore. Some paths might not be suitable for a stroller. Walking through the village is like a voyage back in time, specifically seeing the old saw mill. Bring a bottle of bug spray as mosquitoes are on full force inside the forest.

Such a wonderful experience and peaceful place 🇨🇦❤️. Had a great time with my friends and love being outside with this amazing conservation area. Well maintained and neat - clean - safe with family as well . Good spot for a hike , trails and walk , picnic

This is a beautiful spot between Madoc and Marmora just off Hwy 7. We went for a Boxing Day family event and reserved the horses and wagon for rides. We had a great time. Staff were exceptionally friendly and the setting is beautiful. The are a number of historic buildings as well as walking trails and old water powered sawmill. We had a wood fire and the kids toasted marshmallows. The whole place was not fully operational as it was a holiday so I can’t comment on everything available there. My only small negative is the lack of signage. Clearer and larger signs would really help. For instance on Highway 7, on Mill Road a few hundred meters before the turn into the mill and signage for parking.

Gee whilikers thank goodness for Google or we wouldn't have found the place. Serene, lovely and clean. Buildings somewhat maintained and lots of historical facts. The elusive "summer student" was heard but never seen.

Beautiful spot to go for a casual hike. We took the pups and they loved roaming on and off the trails. Would love to go in the summer when the heritage buildings are open.
