Rob & Mandy were great hosts for our 4 night stay. Vey welcoming and accommodating. They have a great sense of fun, sense of humour and are very attentive hosts without being intrusive. Absolutely the right balance.||Food was great and varied and all homecooked - Not the usual Burger and chips (rubbish IMO). One of the meals (curry) Rob cooked when he discovered we all loved a curry & It was delicious!! I'm sure if you did want " burger and chips" type food then it could be catered for (there is a BBQ I think).||Breakfast was a choice and again accommodations and variety were made to taste - including portion sizes (at all meals) - more than enough for the healthiest appetite (we took "a bear" of a man and he had enough to eat). ||Accommodation was all clean and did the job to get some rest as well as somewhere to sit and relax both inside and outside. There is a small swimming pool which looked inviting but we didn't use. Towels could be provided by the hosts.||A drying room was also available which we needed after arrival (2 hours of solid rain in June !!!!) It's small but it works. If kit was soaked for a large group it might struggle for drying capacity and size but all our group of 4 got all kit dry by the following day||We were on the comfort rate and beer and wine is included and available and there really are no limits... Rob was absolutely fine about the amount of beer and wine we drank (and It was quite a bit). ||Rob is very knowledgeable about local roads and places to see and is happy to advise or just give some pointers, and again I'm sure whatever a group required he would be happy to help as much or little as required.||We've stayed at a few French "biker" places and this is at least as good, if not better, than any that are available. Great stay. Local roads really are cracking !!||Would visit again for sure.||Thanks also to John "Le Poisson" (another guest staying at the same time) for some lively dinner debate about Frenchie politics !!!! ;-)||All the best to Rob & " Mand" from Bosun, Bear, The dark Lord and Fez xx

This was a long awaited and delayed trip due to the covid pandemic & it was well worth the wait.||Rob & Mandy excelled as hosts for our group of 7 & ensured we were very well looked after. The food was varied, plentiful & very tasty. The beer never ran dry and kept us hydrated in the late afternoons & evenings along with table wine during meals.||Riders rest was very well appointed & I found the “Duck Room” incredibly comfortable with a good size bed, nice pillows and large on suite bathroom.||At night & after a hearty meal & a few drinks, it was nice to leave the bedroom door open facing the rear garden to enjoy an evening breeze rolling down the hill & to fall asleep to the sound of owls and crickets in the garden. I slept very very well.||A few of us used the pool in the early season and it was a refreshing way to cool off after a long hot ride. Rob & Mandy keep the pool very clean & the chemical levels were just perfect ensuring the water felt great.||Rob & Mandy clearly took time to get to know us as a group & as individuals which made them feel like part of the family & helped them make us feel very much at home. They eat with us, drank with us and joined in with the conversation & banter.. Heck we even taught Mandy a few new words & the laughter continued to flow throughout our wonderful week.||So to anyone reading this.. ||As you can probably tell we had an amazing week and found Riders Rest a fantastic base to explore the area, we rode every day taking on some long rides & enjoying the fabulous roads & plentiful twisties . ||Wherever we went the locals welcomed the bikes &riders with a wave & a smile & we enjoyed each & every day.||Simply an amazing place with fabulous hosts. So don’t hesitate & just go & enjoy Riders Rest & the ride.||Darren

Arrived after 2 days of pouring rain to be welcomed with open arms. Rob and Mandy quickly felt like old friends and made us feel so welcome. I love cooking so i was very relieved that the level of gastronomy was at a very high level. Loved the food, the drink and the company. As with many other reviews the roads recommend by rob were excellent. There’s a restaurant by a lake, i think its called L’Escale that was very nice, the steaks were huge.|Hopefully one day we’ll return and i think we’ll be like old friends that just pick up where they left off.|Thanks for everything Rob and Mandy|All the best Pauly

Had a 3 night stay this week, received a very warm welcome from owners Rob & Mandy. Rob helped out with route suggestions and regional points of interest. Room was clean and comfortable and the food excellent (delicious home cooked dinners). The surrounding area has awesome roads, hardly any traffic and amazing scenery. Highly recommended!

An outstanding accommodation run by excellent hosts Rob and Mandy. Very clean and tidy with a very filling breakfast. And don’t forget the 3 course meal package with beer. Rob’s knowledge is 2nd to none for all your rideouts too. Fantastic.

Great place. Food is all home cooked to an excellent standard. Rob and Mandy are excellent hosts and beautiful people. Accommodation is good, all you need for a comfortable stay. Roads are top drawer for good fast rider's . The beers are good and cold. Don't go there if you are a tw*t.

We arrived frozen and knackered after 4 hours of riding in torrential rain.
Rode my gs straight into the garage. Collapsed into a convenient chair beside my bike and made a hash of removing my soaking over trousers. My mate Paul and the owner Rob, were trying to yank my trousers off. When Mandy arrived offering hot chocolate, which was nice.
I was allocated 'the romantic room', which I mentally re named, 'the nutcracker suite'..!
Cosy, clean and warm with low but padded beams.
I think the dinner was nice, but I can't remember what we ate. Because we were completely engaged in conversation with Rob and Mandy. Large volumes of good wine also added to my amnesia.
It was just like visiting old friends and we eventually knocked off at 11pm.

9am and a full English breakfast.
Followed by advice on where to ride locally in still wet weather.

We left 2 days later, having explored the local lakes and the delights of scratching on the local Race Track.
Otherwise known as the D940...!

I can't recommend Riders Rest and my new friends Rob and Mandy.
Because you could be there, when I want to be.
It's not good, it's effing brilliant.
So don't go there.
All the Georgie, Neil.
