I needed a trailer hitch with wiring installed on my wife's Bronco Sport, and it was a GREAT experience at U-Haul of Waterbury.

Every single person I interacted with -- from the woman who took my call and made my appointment, to the folks who were at the counter at check in, to Matt who did the actual install -- were all A+. He's fantastic and did a solid job on the hitch. His choice of music while working is also great. =) (I waited on their comfy couch and could faintly hear through the wall).

There are not many places where every person is genuinely friendly and kind.

The location itself is in a good spot, and there is a generous amount of trucks and trailers to rent (which I've done once from this location in the past -- great experience there, too).

There is a TON of helpful things available for purchase inside -- from boxes of all sizes and styles, to packing material, hand trucks, various trailer hitch accessories, etc.

I highly recommend this location if you need a hitch installed, or if you need to rent a truck or trailer.

I recently rented a fifteen foot box truck and after the check out process a store employee by the name Matt pointed from the inside the store a rough location of where the truck was. He stated to me that if the the Fuel tank amount and or mileage didn't match the paper work to come back in and let him know. So I went to truck and realized that the truck had and eighth of a tank less then paperwork stated and 17 more miles more the paper work stated. I went back in and stated this to Matt and he said I will correct it on the paperwork. Fast Forward to drop off I told him my paperwork online says it wasn't corrected, he once again stated he'll take care of but "The systems were down." So he said he'd fix it later, and this was never corrected. I was charged fuel charges and mileage I never used. Even after bringing it to his attention not only once but twice. Lastly, this truck was not road worthy, brakes were absolutely horrible.

I had a very positive experience at this UHaul location. The woman who helped me pickup and drop off my trailer was super helpful and friendly. I accidentally forgot to pick up moving pads I had reserved when I picked up the trailer. I let her know upon returning the trailer, and she took them off the bill with no issues. I would rent from here again.

What started out as a less than positive situation I want to thank Ashley for taking initiative to rectify a matter. Also Brittni is a phenomenal leader who is not only attentive. She has the decorum of a true manager. It is clear she values her customers and is equally loyal to the brand. Let’s just say she turned this frown upside down and she restored my faith in U-Haul as a company. Her service is superior.

Didn’t charge my card on file for the remainder of the balance then charged me another 30 on that same card they didn’t charge in the first place. So they took an additional 30 dollars. I will never use uhaul again. I wound up being charged 130.00 for something that I was told would be less then 100!

40+ minutes just to fill up a bbq propane tank. Not once, but twice. Take your business somewhere else.

I just rented a truck from this location. Despite the negative reviews, I honestly found the staff professional and helpful.
I definitely recommend this location, especially if you are looking for the 17' or 20' truck, this is the only location where you can find them.

I recently purchased a storage unit through an auction at this facility. However, my experience was marred by extreme disappointment. Despite making an appointment five days in advance, the lack of diligence on their part became glaringly evident when, just five minutes before my arrival after driving for an hour and a half, I received a call from the office stating the cancellation of my auction. The reason given was that the previous unit owner had paid up an hour before the auction ended. This lack of oversight and failure to ensure a smooth process has left me thoroughly dissatisfied. Regrettably, I cannot in good faith recommend this facility to anyone in my circle.
